Deji Oyebamiji

Deji Oyebamiji is an international documentrary photographer.

He tells stories on themes related to human existence, religion, gender, politics, international cultures with some blend of artistic concepts and ideas. Deji is always willing to take new challenges in documenting stories that capture the emotion of people and their everyday activities in their environments within and outside Nigeria.

Deji Oyebamiji is the 1st Winner of MyNaija photography Contest organised by Canon Centra Africa in April 2018; Finalist, National Geographic Portfolio Review 2018,   finalist in three different categories  of HIPA (Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award) in 2020

He has his works published by World Press Photo, HIPA, African lens, Eyewinds (india) etc

Deji is a professional member of the African Photojournalism Database (APJD) (a joint project by World Press Photo and Everyday Africa). He has attended many master class seminars like Canon Master Class Seminar for Nigerian Photojournalists for major Newspapers in Nigeria, The Now Collectives (TNC) , Canon Storytelling Workshop in Lagos and Nigerian Photography Expo Conference (NIPHEC); to mention a few.
 

When Deji  is not on assignment, he is on his personal projects which constantly seek various avenues to tell the african stories the african way.
