The word Garri originates from Hausa Language in West Africa. It is used to describe any powdery material. Types of flour foodstuffs mixed with water used to be a major part of the diet in almost all parts of Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon and Liberia. Garri can be taken alone when mixed with water; but it is better taken when combined with other foods like beans, akara, moinmoin, stew etc. This project explains everyday activity of an average, local garri production process; from start to finish. It was carried out at Araada Area, Ogbomoso, Nigeria.
